I’m excited to present the Visio PdfTip web app. This web app offers a practical solution for adding tooltips to your PDF files exported from Visio.
To use it, simply upload both your PDF and the original Visio file to the site. The tool will then take ‘Comments’ from your Visio file shapes and insert them into your PDF as tooltips, enhancing its functionality and ease of use.
I am excited to announce some new improvements to the Diagram Frame SharePoint web part. In this post, I’ll discuss the new features, including navigation, crumb trail, and German localization, and guest user support (CDN hosting)

With Telegram platform becoming increasingly popular, a new telegram channel is now available for this site. I like the telegram format and will post the updates there there more often than the website (expect a post per week or something like this). The channel has also chat for comments/discussions/questions (direct communication). Notice the new icon in the header as well 🙂

The Diagram Frame web part for embedding diagrams in SharePoint using Visio Online has been updated to version 1.1
The Diagram Frame is a specialized web part to display Visio diagrams in SharePoint, that provides some extras in comparison with the stock File Viewer, such as default zoom, UI settings, and control over interactivity.

With content templates SvgPublish you can now "fill" Visio shapes with online dynamic content (text, images, etc). For example, if you want your rendered shapes to look differently from what they are in Visio, you can create just a "wireframe" using Visio and then provide content for this wireframe already online.
This sample illustrates this idea by building a "crafting" map for minecraft (to some point of course, it’s not a 100% accurate map, since the game evolves over time). Crafting map shows how to build one thing out of other things(s). For example, to build an Stone Axe, you need Sticks and Stones. To get sticks, you need some wood, and so on.

SvgPublish Visio add-In 1.4.0 release provides shape content templates, human-readable names for pages. The template editor includes Edge WebView2 support.

Now you can specify templates for shapes themselves. Means now you may have just blank rectangles (or circles, or whatever) in Visio, and have content for those rendered dynamically created when viewed in the web browser. You can put arbitrary markdown/html in those shapes (from shape data for example) using the built-in content template editor. This also allows links, images, etc.
